State Assessment Testing Window Begins April 4th
Beginning April 4th, the state assessment window will open at Triad and students in grades 3-8 will complete the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) tests and students in grade 9-11 will complete the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) assessments. All Illinois public schools administer a state assessment in grades 3rd through 8th and one at the high school level (Juniors).

The topic of safety is at the forefront in our schools today. Unfortunately, it goes well beyond hallway and playground rules put in place to keep students safe. Our conversations now revolve around surveillance, lockdowns, active shooter drills, and escape plans. It is important that the Triad Community continue conversations on how we can work together to make all of our schools safer for students and staff.

February Classroom Highlights
Across the district, teachers are preparing students for upcoming state testing that begins in late March and early April. Students in grades 3rd through 8th take a Math and English Language Arts Test. In 9th and 10th grades, students take a Pre-SAT test while our juniors take the SAT college entrance exam.

County Schools Facility Tax Information
On Tuesday, March 20th, the voters of Madison County will be asked to approve a proposal to provide funding to all county school districts through a 1-Cent sales tax increase. The revenue from this sales tax can only be used to make payments on existing bond debt and to maintain and improve school facilities.

Rising Enrollments
Triad enrollment continues to grow. The graphs below show the upward trend of increased student enrollment. The current kindergarten class is the largest in Triad's history, and this year's total enrollment is the highest since 2007.
