TMS Families,
This is the final week of the third grading period, with the 3rd quarter ending on Friday, March 8th with a 10:30am early dismissal for all TMS students. Students are encouraged to finish the quarter strong by completing and turning work in on time. Teachers will be participating in school improvement day and record keeping activities on Friday afternoon, with report card grades released to families on Friday, March 15th.
Students, please check the Lost and Found areas that are located in the large & small gyms, along with the table across from the office. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the quarter.
Congratulations to our wrestling team for an outstanding season, as it came to a close for all but two of our Crusaders at the IESA Sectionals in Jacksonville over the weekend. According to Coach Duhachek, we had a tough day of wrestling at sectionals with some heartfelt losses and some hard fought wins. In the end, 2 wrestlers battled their way to a shot at a state title. Congratulations:

4th Place - Cohen Albatt
These two wrestlers will advance to IESA State at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb at the end of this week. Congratulations to TMS Wrestling’s very first IESA State Qualifiers, and good luck at the state championships!
Congratulations are also in order for our 7th grade girls volleyball team on their regional championship!. The win secured them a spot in the 2024 IESA Sectional Championship Game, which will be played tonight at 6:30pm at Edwardsville Liberty against Edwardsville Lincoln. If the girls win the sectional championship tonight, they’ll play at the IESA State Tournament in Normal at 4:30pm on Friday. Our 8th grade girls volleyball team defeated East St. Louis Clark on Saturday, and they play in the IESA Regional Semifinals against Carriel tomorrow, 3/5, at 5:45pm at O’Fallon Fulton. The winner will play for the regional championship Thursday at 4:30pm at Fulton. Good luck to both of our volleyball teams! Go Crusaders!

Spring Scholastic Book Fair: Our annual TMS Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place next week!
5 Essentials Survey: The Illinois 5 Essentials Survey window opened five weeks ago and runs through March 29th. Parents should use this link to access the survey. Please consider helping us out by taking the survey if you haven’t already. The surveys are specific to each building, so if you already took one for an elementary school or the high school we would need you to take it again for TMS specifically. Thank you for your support and participation!
SOAR Information: Sixth grade only after school recreation (SOAR) will be up and running for a Spring session beginning April 2. All sixth grade families are encouraged to read the SOAR parent letter and get registered for the Spring session using this registration form if they are interested.
