TMS Families,
We are off to a great start at Triad Middle School. Thank you again for adhering to our established morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures! As expected, our TMS traffic flow was rough the first day of school, but now that everyone has settled into a routine we’ve been able to get all students into the school between the 7:00-7:27 time frame, which is in time for our 7:30am start time. Please continue to help us out by either allowing your child to ride the school bus or by dropping your child off anywhere along the front sidewalk. When parents drop off along the sidewalk anywhere between the large gym and just ahead of the flagpole, traffic moves much smoother than when parents only drop off one car at a time in front of the main entrance.
With a new record of 956 students attending TMS this year, we are running out of classroom space, but we’ve still managed to keep class sizes manageable. Our current class sizes are:
6th grade average class size is 27-28.
7th grade average class size is 28.
8th grade average class size is 27-28.
Checkout these TMS back-to-school pictures. I’m looking forward to all of you meeting our tremendous staff, which includes several new faces for the 2023-2024 school year. Please plan on attending our Fall Open House on Wednesday to learn more about the classes and teachers at Triad Middle School.
Open House:
On Wednesday, August 23rd, all parents are invited to attend the Fall TMS Open House. Parents/guardians will need to print or have access to their child’s schedule on their phone, as they will be following their child’s schedule beginning at 6:00pm for our 6th grade families and 7:30pm for our 7th/8th grade families. Several teachers may also be having students fill out a schedule during homeroom next week that parents can easily follow with room numbers listed. We respectfully ask that 6th grade parents who do not have a 7th or 8th grader leave promptly at 7:10pm to make room in the TMS parking lot for our 7th and 8th grade families to start at 7:30pm.

If any families have any back to school pictures or if their child is playing in any TMS sports that they have action shots from, please send pictures to tmsyearbook@tcusd2.org. Also, information regarding purchasing a 23-24 TMS yearbook from Jostens should be available soon.
Aug. 23rd - Open House (6:00pm - 6th Grade and 7:30pm for 7th/8th Grades)
Sept. 4th - Labor Day - No School
