TMS Families,

We had a tremendous first full week at Triad Middle School, despite the heat wave our area experienced! Thank you once again for adhering to our established morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. Now that everyone has settled into a normal routine we’ve not only been able to get all students into the school between the 7:00-7:27 time frame, but we’ve also observed two windows of time where the traffic is much lighter if any families want to try to avoid long lines on Highway 40 and at TMS. The best two times for arrival on campus appear to be between 7:06-7:12 and 7:22-7:28. The most difficult time to arrive at TMS tends to be the time right in between those windows from 7:13-7:21. Regardless of your drop off time, we continue to ask that all vehicles drop off along the sidewalk anywhere between the large gym and just ahead of the flagpole. Traffic moves much smoother with numerous cars unloading at the same time, as opposed to parents only dropping off one car at a time in front of the main entrance. Next week, we do anticipate additional delays with an IDOT construction project scheduled to start near the Silver Creek Bridge just west of the middle school, so please allow a few extra minutes if needed and continue to be safe!

We’re Hiring:

Are you interested in joining our team at TMS? We’re looking for a school day security monitor to help us keep our school safe and running smoothly. Please visit our job posting on the employment section of the Triad District website for more information. This could be one full-time position or split into two part-time positions if needed. We’re especially looking for someone who would be willing and able to start as early as 6 or 6:15am before our early bird band students start entering the building. Let us know if you are interested!

Open House:

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians who attended our Fall Open House on Wednesday night. We had a great turnout, and we hope that each of you enjoyed seeing the school and hearing from your child’s teachers. At TMS we value the school-home partnership and try our best to engage and communicate with you regularly. Thank you for staying in contact with us and helping us educate your students. We appreciate your support! Here are some pictures of our students in action from this past week.

Yearbooks:

2023-2024 TMS Yearbooks are discounted to $22 now through September 22nd. After that, the yearbooks will return to the normal price of $25. Check out the Josten’s Yearbook link to order your yearbook today before the prices go up. If any families have any back to school pictures or if their child is playing in any TMS sports that they have action shots from, please send pictures to tmsyearbook@tcusd2.org
