TMS Families,
Good luck to our Crusaders baseball team as they take their impressive 16-2 record into today's IESA State Quarterfinal game at 2:30 against Charleston in East Peoria! We were happy to be able to cheer them on as they left the school for state this morning. If the boys would win today, they would advance to the Semifinal game at noon tomorrow, which would guarantee them a spot in either the 2:30 third place game or the 4:30 Championship game!
Congratulations again to our girls softball team. Their season ended in the IESA State Quarterfinals. What an accomplishment to finish in the top 8 in the state for both our baseball and softball teams in our first year as members of the IESA! Congratulations to our student athletes and coaches! #CrusadersCulture
Safety Concerns: Traffic has still been busy with the construction on Highway 40, but we feel like the morning drop off was much safer for students, parents, and bus drivers this week. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
We conducted a practice fire drill this morning. Students and staff did an excellent job. We will continue to practice a variety of our safety drills to make sure that students and staff feel as prepared and safe as possible during any emergency situation. Our next fire drill will take place during the month of October in coordination with the Troy Fire Department, but we will also practice our earthquake, tornado, and ALICE/intruder drills during the upcoming month.
TriadStrong is taking t-shirt orders for the October 20th Pink Out Football Game at Collinsville High School.
Pictures from the Month of September: Several pictures have been added to our September Album. It’s hard to believe, but today was our last September school day. I think we may have even survived the Harvest Moon! When the calendar switches over to October next week, we’ll start a new album to share in our weekly emails.
8th Grade Dance: Each year parents in the community organize and host an 8th grade dance somewhere in the community for TMS 8th graders. This event is not a school-sponsored event, so there are no school staff chaperones at the event. I’ve been asked to share with 8th grade parents that those who wish to be involved with planning the event either join the Facebook group link or contact Lauren Missey (lmissey08@hotmail.com) or Stephanie Jaros (bluesfrk7@gmail.com) for more information. Thanks for understanding that this event will not be held at TMS, and it is not a school-sponsored event.
Yearbooks: 2023-2024 TMS Yearbooks are discounted to $22 now through September 22nd. After that, the yearbooks will return to the normal price of $25. Check out the Josten’s Yearbook link to order your yearbook today before the prices go up. If any families have any back to school pictures or if their child is playing in any TMS sports that they have action shots from, please send pictures to tmsyearbook@tcusd2.org.

A dental exam is due by May 15th of the current school year. (Dental Exam Form)
Students enrolled in free/reduced lunch can get a dental exam for free on Monday, October 9th.
