TMS Families,
I hope you enjoyed an outstanding weekend and a productive Monday! Today was the last day of the first quarter. Tomorrow is a fresh, clean start for all students to make sure they have a positive second quarter academically, attendance-wise, and behaviorally. I am hopeful that students will take advantage of the clean slate and set some goals for improvement during the second quarter, no matter how successful they were during this first grading period. First quarter report cards will be available in the portfolio section of Skyward by the end of the day on October 25th, just in time for our Fall Parent Teacher Conferences. Don’t forget that all TMS students will be dismissed early at 10:30am this Friday for our staff’s 1st Quarter School Improvement and record keeping day.
Parent Teacher Conferences: We hope to see you later this month for parent-teacher conferences! The link to sign up for conferences is now live. Our parent-teacher conferences will be scheduled for either October 26th (12:00-7:30pm) or October 27th (8:00am-3:30pm). If you would like to meet with a teacher or team of teachers, please use this link to schedule an appointment!

Fall Fundraiser Thank You: TMS students and families were awesome at selling apples again this year! 248 students and teachers sold over 3300 apples this year, which helped TMS raise close to $15,000! The money raised goes into the TMS Activity Fund, which is the fund we use for special activities, student incentives and rewards (such as our Zero Hero quarterly celebrations), and supplementary materials and opportunities. Since we do not have a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) like the feeder elementary schools do, this is our main fundraiser. Thank you again for your hard work and generous support! Don’t forget that all apples will need to be picked up (or taken home) on Monday, October 23rd after school.
Scholastic Book Fair: Please be reminded that our Fall Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner. Students may shop at the book fair during their normal library times the week of October 30th. We could still use some parent volunteers if you are able and willing to assist our library team with the book fair.
