TMS Families,

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather our area experienced over the weekend. Please don’t forget that today’s the day for the Bobby’s Caramel Apple Delivery. All students should plan on taking their apples home this afternoon. If your child sold more apples than they can safely transport home on the bus, please make arrangements to pick him/her up from school today. All apples will need to be picked up in a timely manner after school, unless a prior arrangement was made with Ms. Maedge. Thanks again to all who made our apple fundraiser so successful!

We enjoyed seeing our 1st Quarter “Zero Hero” recipients enjoy donuts, ice cream, and shaved ice treats on Friday while hanging out with friends in the cafeteria and courtyard on Friday. We’re a week into the second quarter now, and we’re hoping that students will continue to strive to come to school each day, get to their classes on time, wear their school-issued IDs, do their homework, and stay out of trouble, so that they can earn the Zero Hero celebration for the second quarter. We had well over 700 students earn this reward during the first quarter! Congrats to all!

This week is Red Ribbon Week at TMS. All students are encouraged to “Just Say No” to Drugs and Alcohol, and we are looking forward to seeing students and staff participate in the various dress up days:

  • Monday, Oct. 23rd - Red Ribbon Week - Red Day - “Proud to be drug free!”

  • Tuesday, Oct. 24th - Red Ribbon Week - Twin Day - “Friends don’t let friends do drugs!”

  • Wednesday, Oct. 25th - Red Ribbon Week - Beach Day - “Lei off drugs!”

Finally, congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade math teams for their 1st place finishes at the math competition at Belleville West High School over the weekend. Way to go, TMS Mathletes! We are proud of you!
