TMS Families,
I hope you had a great first week of 2024 and an even better weekend. We had some outstanding TMS performances over the weekend. Check out our athletic highlights below.
This week is our Winter MAP testing week, which our teachers and students are encouraged to take very seriously. MAP testing is one of the ways we evaluate the effectiveness of our teaching and learning opportunities and gather feedback to inform our instructional efforts. Please help us obtain reliable and meaningful data by encouraging your child to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and be at school on time each day this week.
Weather permitting, we plan to celebrate our 2nd Quarter Zero Heroes with a Glow Party in the band building around Wednesday’s grade level MAP tests. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll try again at the end of the week. Students do not have to bring money to participate in the reward day, but there will be an opportunity to buy soda, candy, glow sticks, and light up glasses if they wish to get any of those. See details below on the Jan. 10th date.
Speaking of winter weather, you should have received an email from the district regarding our E-Learning Day schedule with an explanation on when E-Learning Days will be utilized versus traditional emergency snow days.
Here are the period by period times for THS and TMS if we would need an E-Learning Day:

Safety Reminder: In the interest of safety, please do not drop students off in the large staff parking lot area on the east side of the school or on the south side of the circle drive near Highway 40 where students have to cut across lines of cars or buses to enter the school. We expect for students to be dropped off anywhere along the sidewalk on the west side of the cones and stanchions that separate the east parking lot from the circle drive. Deputy Maue has been trying to remind students and parents of where drop offs should occur. Your patience and cooperation would be greatly appreciated, as we work together to keep all students safe and buses moving in and out of our campus lot.
Daily Announcements: Would you like to have access to the daily announcements that TMS students hear each morning at school? If so, please go to the “Daily News” section on our TMS Website.
