TMS Families,
I hope that each of you had a great Spring Break and a Happy Easter. Students and staff seem to be back into the swing of things this week. As a reminder, all TMS students will be dismissed at 10:30am on Monday, April 8th, as our School Improvement Planning Day was switched from April 24th to April 4th. Students will be bringing home a pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses and encouraged to wear those if they go outside Monday afternoon to view the eclipse. If there are any families leaving to go out of town to view the eclipse, their children may request their glasses before leaving school tomorrow. Homeroom teachers have the glasses.
Tomorrow is Spring Picture Day at TMS. Please make sure your child knows whether or not you would like them to be photographed. Only students who want Spring pictures will be photographed tomorrow, as opposed to the Fall picture day where all TMS students are photographed.
PSAT 8/9 Date Change: Please note our optional PSAT 8/9 test administration will now take place on Monday, April 8th, instead of Wednesday, April 24, due to the rescheduling of our School Improvement Day. Students will complete the test PRIOR to our scheduled dismissal at 10:30. Please contact Andrea Morris at andrea.morris@tcusd2.org with questions.
TMS Musical 4/12-4/13: Our TMS musical students and sponsors have been working hard to prepare for their upcoming spring musical, High School Musical Jr. The shows are next Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, at the THS Cafetorium at 7:00 p.m. If anyone is interested in buying tickets in advance, you can use this link: https://forms.gle/iTipAHqPp4TjWjXS6. You can also buy tickets at the door. Tickets are $5. We have about 48 TMS students involved in the musical this year, and they have worked really hard to put the show together. We hope to see you there!
Online Registration and Enrollment for 24-25: Parents are encouraged to register their Triad students for the 2024-2025 school year online now. Please help us with our school planning efforts by doing this as soon as possible instead of waiting until later in the summer. TMS students will be signing up for their preferred electives at the end of this month, so please begin the online enrollment/registration process as soon as possible. More information here.

At the January Board of Education meeting, the 2024-2025 Triad District School Calendar was approved by the board. Please check out next year’s school calendar when planning short trips, appointments, and vacations to help us improve attendance at TMS and maximize in person learning opportunities for students and staff.
