TMS Families,
As we enter the homestretch of the 2023-2024 school year, I want you to be aware of some upcoming important dates to circle on your calendar for elective course selections for the 2024-2025 school year. Current seventh grade students will be able to view their 8th grade elective choices today, and they will be able to select their electives on Thursday, April 25th. Current sixth grade students will be able to view their 7th grade elective choices next Monday, and they will be able to select their electives on Thursday, May 2nd. Please review the options with your child and discuss a plan for their selection that includes a back-up choice if one of their top two choices is full. Please find a complete list of elective course descriptions and details on this guide for students and parents.
Don’t forget that Cardinal Day is this Friday at TMS! We’re looking forward to seeing all of the Cardinal Red at TMS, as we prepare grilled hot dogs and burgers for lunch during our annual Cardinal Day Cookout.
Online Registration and Enrollment for 24-25: Parents are encouraged to register their Triad students for the 2024-2025 school year online now. Please help us with our school planning efforts by doing this as soon as possible instead of waiting until later in the summer. TMS students will be signing up for their preferred electives at the end of this month, so please begin the online enrollment/registration process as soon as possible. More information here.
PSAT 8/9 Score Reports: The College Board should release PSAT 8/9 score reports no later than May 2 for those 8th graders who took part in our optional test administration on April 8. Students will need to create a College Board account to access. They can do so HERE. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Andrea Morris at amorris@tcusd2.org with any questions.

Day One: Wednesday, May 15
5-5:30 PM: Mandatory parent meeting
5:30-8 PM: Dance clinic
Day Two: Thursday, May 16
5:30-7:30PM: Dance clinic
Day Three: Friday, May 17
5:30 PM: Judged tryouts begin
Summer Camp Opportunities: In addition to the outstanding summer sports camps that Triad offers, we have also been made aware of the following educational camp opportunities away from the Triad District.
June 3-7 (session 1) and 10-14 (session 2) - School of Engineering Summer Camp @ SIUE
This opportunity is available to our 8th grade class, who are headed to THS in the Fall.
June 10-12 - Middle School Anatomy Camp - AIMS (Adventures in Math & Science) @ St. Louis University

Please check out next year’s school calendar when planning short trips, appointments, and vacations to help us improve attendance at TMS and maximize in person learning opportunities for students and staff.
