TMS Families,
I apologize in advance for the length of this email, especially in the summertime, but I think you will find the information contained in this message extremely helpful as you begin to look forward to the 2024-2025 school year. I hope that you are all enjoying the summer break! As I write this message, I am preparing to begin my own short summer break. As such, I want you to know that the Triad Middle School Office will be closed until Monday, July 22nd. There will not be anyone in the office to answer phone calls or return emails until the office reopens later in July for the 2024-2025 school year. If you have questions that cannot wait until July 22nd or need assistance with the online registration process, please reach out to someone at the Triad District Office at 618-667-5400. I do believe, though, that many of your questions will be answered in this email. Parents of incoming 6th graders may be interested in checking out this 6th grade orientation night summary, especially if your incoming 6th grader is interested in band and/or chorus, as the sign-up links and band and chorus teacher email addresses are included.

Triad District Registration (Important):
Most families have already registered their children for the 2024-2025 school year through our online process. If you have not already registered, please do so as soon as possible! Here's where the Online Registration information can be found. Parents/guardians of new students are encouraged to contact the Central Office at 667-5400 to answer any questions they have.
2024-2025 student schedules will be posted in Skyward on Monday, August 5th. If you have not completed the online registration process by July 31st, your child won’t have a schedule on August 5th.
School Supplies & P.E. T-Shirts:
The 2024-2025 school supply lists for TMS can be found here (24-25 TMS Supply Lists). The supply lists will be published on the district website at the end of the month for all schools.
All TMS students will have P.E. on their 2024-2025 schedule, regardless of other electives. Students will be required to purchase Triad P.E. shirts with their names on the back for the 24-25 school year. They will also be required to wear tennis shoes at all times. Triad P.E. shirts are available at many area vendors. All physical education students will be required to wear a standard uniform consisting of the following: a Triad P.E. T-shirt, (with last name on back), black shorts or athletic pants, athletic shoes and socks. Only Triad Physical Education T-shirts with the student’s last name imprinted on the back will be accepted. Approved P.E. shirts are sold at the following locations (Sew Time has their online ordering link attached):
BJ Printables (formerly Designs & Stitches) (Troy) 618-667-4599 cindy@bjsprintables.com
Gateway Impressions (Troy) 618-505-7544 or info@gatewayimpressions.com
Sew Time Embroidery (Maryville) 618-345-6645 or sewtime89@gmail.com
Open Building Event:
On both Tuesday, August 6th (3-7pm) and Thursday, August 8th (12-4pm) the Triad Middle School hallways will be open for students to check out their classroom locations and put school supplies in their lockers. Office assigned locker numbers and locker combinations should be posted on the students’ schedules when they are released in Skyward on Monday, August 5th. Feel free to test out your locker combination and place any necessary school supplies in your lockers before the first day of school. This would also be a great time for parents/guardians to drop off physicals, dental exam or eye exam forms in the office for the school nurse, Mrs. Becker. Voegele Photography will have cameras set up in the small gym on both August 6th and August 8th for Fall pictures. Fall pictures are used for student ID cards and for our TMS Yearbook. For those who are not able to attend, there will be a make-up date after school starts on Friday, August 16th. Attached is the Fall picture link if you would like to order pictures.
Physicals / Important Health Services Forms & Links:
Please check out the Triad CUSD#2 Health Services page on the Triad website for important reminders on physicals, dental and vision forms, and other helpful forms and links. While all 6th graders need to show proof of a physical exam on a state approved physical exam form, all TMS students who plan on participating in a Fall Sport will need a current physical (less than 395 days old) in order to try out or attend practices.

Finally, you may have noticed under the Triad Middle School Information section that the building principal is listed as TBA (to be announced). I wanted to let you know that I am moving into the superintendent’s position for Lebanon Community Unit School District #9 on July 1st. I’m excited for this new challenge and opportunity, but it’s still difficult leaving such an outstanding place to work and go to school. It has been a tremendous honor and pleasure to serve as the Triad Middle School’s principal these past 10 years. Thank you for the support and trust that you have shown me. It’s been a true privilege, and I wish you all continued success.
Go Crusaders,
Matt Noyes, Ed.D.
