Happy Friday! As we settle back into our routines this school year, I want to remind everyone about the changes in attendance policies for the 2024-2025 school year.

This year, we will be utilizing new attendance procedures to improve communication with families and ensure a more uniform approach to regular school attendance. When a student is absent for 5, 10, and 15 days, whether for excused or unexcused reasons, parents will receive a letter in their child’s Skyward parent portal as well as via email. These letters are “auto-generated” for every student to keep you informed about your child's absences and maintain open communication between us.

Please remember to call the Attendance Line at 618-667-5406 to report your child's absence. While teachers appreciate being informed during extended absences, we ask that all daily absences be reported to the Main Office. After 9 absences, documentation will be required for the day to be considered excused.

We understand that students can become ill, but we are committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to grow academically, and they achieve this best when they are here at TMS with us.

Thank you for your continued support!

THS Home Football Games:

This Friday Triad High School will host the first home football game of the year.  Please note that the following rules are in place and will be enforced by Triad High School Administration and Troy Police.

  • Middle School students have the option of sitting with their parents or on the bleachers at the south end of the grandstand in the designated Middle School Section.

  • All school rules apply when attending an event at the football stadium

  • Wear your school ID.

  • Elementary-age students must be in the presence of a parent or an adult over 25 years of age at all times. You cannot bring your younger siblings to the game with you, unless your parents/guardians are present.

  • Absolutely no footballs.

  • Once you leave the stadium you will not be allowed back in.

  • No rough-housing, inappropriate language, or playing on the grass hill will be allowed. You will be asked to call a parent and be picked up.

Dress code reminder:

Reminders have been provided throughout the first weeks of school regarding inappropriate shorts and shirts.  Beginning next week we will assign dress code violations for inappropriate messages on shirts, crop tops, and shorts that are not visible, and shorts that expose students' backsides. As staff we do our best to address these issues, but we ask for parent support in reminding students that if they question if it's too short to select a different pair for school. Please refer to the TMS Handbook on page 18 for more information. TMS Handbook

Shout-out to Chief Wasser and Hank:

Please go to the family access in Skyward and click on the tile indicating that you have been provided the Triad Middle School Student/Parent Handbook.

What if my child forgets something?

A drop-off location is located in the Main Lobby. Ring the buzzer, let us know you are dropping off something for your student. Put your child’s name on the item. The item will be delivered to the student.

I need to pick up my child…

An approved pickup person will buzz into the building. Use the Chromebook in the Main Lobby to enter the student information. This information will be sent to the Main Office secretaries. The student will be called and sent out to you. Please plan accordingly, this can take a few minutes. Please wait in the lobby area.

Physicals / Important Health Services Forms & Links:

Please check out the Triad CUSD#2 Health Services page on the Triad website for important reminders on physicals, dental and vision forms, and other helpful forms and links.
