On November 1st and 4th, you will have an opportunity to come and meet with each of your child's teachers to discuss their progress. We encourage you to use the link below and set up times for Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, check on academic progress, find out more about the year ahead, and just get to know the amazing staff that work each day with your child.
We look forward to seeing you!

Sports:
Here is a highlight of our Fall Sports (Baseball, Softball, Cross Country, Football) seasons, as we move into our Fall-Winter seasons with Basketball for both girls and boys, along with Cheer and Dance kicking off!!!
Our cross country team had a successful finish with our girls participating in the IESA State Finals in Normal, Illinois. We also had a couple boys competing individually up there as well. Coach Hull and Coach Parker did a great job with our team which had over 70 members.
The football team just wrapped up their season. They had a very competitive season in which they competed and most importantly improved throughout the season under the direction of Coach Rahar and Coach Cange.
Our boys baseball team made the elite eight of the IESA state tournament wrapping up another great season for Coach Vickrey, Coach Keller and Coach Bugger.
Both softball teams won conference titles in the highly competitive Metro East Athletic Conference with the 8th grade team winning a regional title. Coach Greer, Coach Kleeman, Coach Loehr and Coach Kelly led the charge for our young ladies.
Our girls basketball teams at the 7th and 8th grade levels are both undefeated with 9-O records so far this season. Our coaching staff is doing a great job leading our athletes. The staff includes Coach Schlaefer, Coach Cameran, Coach Vallino, and Coach Stack. Both teams are expected to compete for conference titles and make deep postseason runs this year. The girls are doing terrific so far.
Our boys basketball program, which is under the leadership of Coach Johnson, Coach Kitzmiller and Coach Mills will get underway this week with tryouts starting this week. Good luck to them in the upcoming season.
Our cheerleading group is really working hard as well so far. Coach Loucks and Coach Cole have a great group of kids competing for them this year.
Last but certainly not least, our dance team is led under the direction of Coach Kline and Coach Ralston. They are putting a lot of hard work and dedication into our athletes much like our athletes are putting a lot of dedication into continuing to improve their craft.
Band and Choir:
The 7th and 8th Grade TMS Band performed on Thursday, October 17th, and did an excellent job. Guest Director, Cathy Vano assisted in the concert and we are very grateful for her time with us while Mr. Carter was out.

Clubs:
Crusader Crew - NEW FAN GROUP - promote peer support of TMS events. There is also a leadership group within the “crew” that meets on Friday afternoons. The leadership group plans events for the games, sets themes for the events, and creates posters, social media posts, and communication for the nearly 100 members!!! (Sponsored by Katelin Knolhoff, Allyson Loucks, Jenn Wombacher, Taryn Alstat)
Dungeons and Dragons - students have been having a lot of fun at Dungeons and Dragons Club. They have met six times so far this year and students have created their characters and are well into their campaigns. (Sponsored by Andrew Inda)
Recycling Club - The newly returned recycling club meets weekly and we are currently working on making a video to show during CSC about how to recycle appropriately in our classrooms (what goes in the classroom bins and what does not). We are also working on planning a lesson on November 15th for teachers to show during CSC for American Recycles Day. (Sponsored by Jenn Ruch)
TMS Peer Mentor Club - started in full swing this September. We have been learning about disability awareness at our meetings and planning some fun events. The students planned, organized, and ran a trunk at Silver Creek's Trunk or Treat on October 18th, and are wrapping up their plans for the cross-categorical classrooms Halloween party.
Social Media and Phone Concerns:
As a school community, we must prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. Recent reports have highlighted inappropriate posts targeting TMS students on social media platforms like TikTok and Snapchat.
We appreciate the proactive individuals who report these harmful comments. It's crucial for page owners to eliminate such content. Students are encouraged to block and report any harmful posts they encounter.
Our school maintains a ZERO tolerance policy toward bullying and harassment, and appropriate consequences will be assigned to those who violate this standard. Together, we can maintain a supportive environment for all students.
